Principal – Patricia Sollars: ‘Trish’ has been the principal at the Marina for over 20 years. Originally from London, she has worked in a wide range of educational establishments including the University in Swansea. “Many thousands of pupils have been through our doors in the time I have been here, and each and every one leaves Wales with a greater understanding, greater confidence, and a lifetime full of memories”.

Deputy Principal – Gareth Jones: Gareth has been a trainer at the Marina for nearly 15 years, and as well as being an experienced teacher, he also works as a professional actor. “I like to make sure my time with the students is as interactive as possible. We are not here to work so much on your grammar, that’s what you get from your school at home, we are here to fine tune the tools that you already possess, ensuring you head home full of confidence, and with a deeper understanding”.

Senior teacher – Margot Morgan: Margot has worked at the Marina for many years, and brings with her a wealth of experience in confidence building, self discovery, and voice work. “On our excursions, I enjoy sharing the history of the country with students, and learning more about their lives and the places they come from”.

Senior teacher – Huw Williams: Huw has worked as a teacher at the school for many years. He is also a talented artist who sells his work all over the world. “I always like to make sure the lessons I deliver work around the needs of the individual. There is no room for boredom here at the Marina. We ensure that every day you are learning, and that your learning is always packed full of fun”.

Senior teacher – Maxine Kavanagh: Maxine has been involved at the Marina for 12 years, with some time in between spent being a full time Mum. “I love watching the children’s confidence grow in their spoken English whilst on their trip. The Marina in Swansea is such a fantastic environment to study, explore and work in”.
