It’s by the sea! You can go for a walk along the beach eating a traditional fish and chips or the famous Joes Ice Cream. Take a walk along the beach, pop to the pier, or into the city centre to do a little shopping. No trip is complete without a visit to Swansea indoor Market which is the largest indoor market in Wales offering up over 100 stores selling everything from food, gifts and toys to books, cards and antiques.
Students are offered the chance to visit the Waterfront museum which is just a 5 minute walk from the school. This museum celebrates the industrial and maritime history of Wales dating back to the 1800’s. It’s a highly interactive museum that guides you through an age when Wales supplied the World with coal and steel, and countless inventions.
The best thing about Swansea though is the people. You will not find a trip to the United Kingdom where the people are as friendly. In Swansea we love where we live and it’s a seaside town where only the sea is salty. It’s a student City with a thriving University packed full of international students who are always ensuring the warmest of Welsh welcomes.
